About the Co-Founders

Uzi Ashkenazi

Technology and Media Director

Uzi develops, manages and analyzes all aspects of clients’ web development and online marketing initiatives. He ensures that all online media is branded, analytical-driven and incorporated with the latest SEO/SEM practices for growing clients’ online businesses. His focus on delivering a positive user experience matches his ability to maximize ROI and creative opportunities within a given budget. His diverse and successful media career reflects the evolution of media consumption and the way brands have reacted to that change with differentiated tactics and platforms. Prior to co-founding Medium, Uzi worked for ABC News in New York, where he managed daily operations of the news magazine's daily webcasts and coordinated content workflow for weekly programs. Additionally, his career as an accomplished photographer inspired his craving to transform visual strategies in tandem with on-demand access into content. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Media Studies from The New School, New York. Uzi is a member of Los Angeles Drupal and the Drupal Association.

Julie Ashkenazi

Creative Director

Julie partners with clients on all creative development to ensure deliverables support marketing strategies, promote brand awareness and achieve financial goals. Her refined aesthetic, dedication to design and business savvy have earned her accolades as a creative professional and effective communicator who consistently delivers creative strategies. Prior to co-founding Medium, Julie spent the bulk of her career in the beauty industry, where she was responsible for concepting, directing and executing brand and product launches worldwide. As Senior Art Director on Avon’s Global Design team, she helped redefine Avon’s core beauty brands and developed creative for celebrity alliances. Upon moving to Los Angeles, Julie was responsible for leading all online creative in her role as Creative Director, eCommerce at Murad Skincare. Over her career, Julie has collaborated with numerous photographers including Diego Uchitel, Guy Aroch, Charles Masters and James Wojcik. Her work has been published in Vanity Fair, Allure, Lucky and WWD.
