For over 40 years, Country Life has been a leader in the supplement industry. After struggling with a website that was neither user nor admin-friendly, their marketing team approached us to design and develop a new, easy to use website that showcased their vast product assortment, reflected the brand’s core values, and could be routinely updated so their digital presentation was aligned with retail promotions.
The Country Life team wanted to give users the ability to peruse their products by either product type or health need, so we developed a mega drop-down menu as the website’s primary navigation to streamline product selection and enhance user experience. The homepage also includes a slideshow, promotional slots that can be updated as required by the marketing calendar, and the brand’s “Treat Yourself Well” philosophy. Within the website, users can read about the brand’s Pledge of Integrity, learn about their many certifications and discover products that can be beneficial to special diets. Product detail pages now highlight key benefits at a quick glance and also include additional, tabbed content where customers can easily access supplement facts, certification information and directions.
Although the website is not eCommerce-enabled, it includes a store locator feature on every product detail page for user convenience. The Drupal website also features a responsive layout, search feature, and a CMS, which allows the Country Life team to easily self-update content as needed.
In addition to maintaining the website, Medium oversees community management for the brand. Through our engagement efforts, we have significantly increased community growth and helped build awareness, while cultivating relationships with industry influencers such as nutritionists, bloggers, and gluten-free experts. We continually partner with the Country Life’s PR team to help facilitate social goals and maximize efficiencies where possible.
